By popular(?????) request: Due to conflicts in work schedules, we didn't have both sons here at the same time until tonight, so I finally got to give the guitars away. . It made poppa proud. The boys were blown away as we did manage to keep it a complete secret for ten months.

Here are all three of my builds.

And here's my oldest granddaughter. Her guitar came from "Cracker Barrel". Nothern folks may not be familiar with the Cracker Barell. I think it is still pretty regional. Just a cheap toy, but she felt like part of group.

Thanks for looking,
Ron

Great event, Ron! You have some handsome and proud sons. And they have a Dad that obviously loves his sons. If they're anything like my sons, they'll make you very happy that you made the effort each time you see them play.

Congratulations!

Aaaaah Ron, what i would've given to be there with you and witness the expression on their faces, must have been priceless huh?

You can be really proud of what you've done for them, they will remember this for the rest of their lives, i'd bet my last $0.02 that a box of Kleenex was nearby! Right?

You have a wonderful family and you are a great Dad and Grandpa my friend, these pics made me think of my own folks, thanks for sharing these magical moments with us!

Onya Ron, how cool.

What a great gift family is, they have gone and given you a good reason to just give away all your hard work and left you feeling great about it.

This gesture now leaves the path open for you to go and spend what you need to make some more of those beauties and all your clan will be left even more awe struck by your latest efforts, wise owl indeed

Best of all mate, a gift of a hand built guitar becomes a reminder to all of your skilled hand and kindness of heart and that is something truly shhwwwwweeeet.

All the very best to you mate.

Cheers to you and yours

Kim

Right on Ron!

A very beautiful and handsome family all 'round (yes, even you! )...

I can't wait to follow in your footsteps and give my kids a few guitars of their own as well...

Indeed, that's what it's all about and makes it worthwhile, giving to the ones you love!

Thank you all, again. It was a great Christmas at my house. I have been blessed with many things, and family and health are two things you should always be thankful for. A close third is friends.

Hah! It must have been big fun when you brought out the twins! I bow to you, oh great keeper of secrets.

Okay, now spill...you left one of these with unusually thick sides. How does it compare with the other?

Incredible gifts Ron. It's something they'll treasure forever and maybe pass down to their kids one day. I'm hoping to build a couple for my kids to serenade their dear old dad with when they are a bit older.
